I am Captain Tony, a United States Coast Guard Merchant Marine Officer Master Captain, certified to 50 gross tons. As a young kid I grew up in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. We lived on the Beaver Dam Creek and would catch snapper, eel, and crabs right from our dock. My dad had a 28-foot Silverton Super Sport boat docked out back that we would take out of the Manasquan inlet. We would catch flounder, bluefish, black-sea bass, strippers, and tuna. My dad was always surprised of my love for offshore fishing because I would get sick most of the time. However, the next weekend would roll around and I was ready to get back on the water. In 1979 we moved to southwest Florida where we fished from Sarasota to Boca Grande. We mainly fished inshore for trout, snook and reds. In the early nineties, I moved to Cocoa Beach Florida where I ran into a high school buddy that got me "hooked" on offshore fishing again. We would head out of Port Canaveral and catch large dolphin, cobia, red snapper, grouper, and triple tail. That's when I rekindled my love for offshore fishing. Those were some good times. Now, I live In Sarasota, Florida were I take out charters, friends, and family for there own off shore experience. We mainly catch king and spanish mackerel, grouper, bonito, cobia, snapper, and occasinally, some Dolphin.
